Long review -
Battery life is pretty good here lasting most/all day depending on how often you vape, however the quality diminishes over the battery life due to it not being constant voltage. While it obviously increases battery life not being constant I end up wanting to charge it before the battery runs dry.
I generally stay away from pods, simply because I end up paying more to use them. As is the case with this, you end up with 3 pods instead of 5 coils that you would find for other devices for the same/lower cost. These smok pods seem to last for some time though so in this case it ends up working out pretty well. The mesh coils are quite good. I had to make some lower nic juice to use with them as they can be too strong at the normal strength I generally vape at, but their flavor is unmatched for me in a mtl set up. I would recommend the 1.4 dc coils if your vaping off the shelf nic salts. I've bought the ceramic(what their calling quartz) pods, but haven't had a chance to try them. I suspect that their slightly better and long lasting than the standard ones. The juice capacity is nice a 3ml and even with the mesh it lasts for some time. Filling can be a bit of pain as the coil is large enough it blocks access to one side leading to big air pockets. Tipping it upside down when filling helps out, but it could have been thought out a bit better.
When it comes to look and feel I think smok pretty much nailed it. Increasing the battery life over the original was a smart choice and they did so while keeping it roughly the same size. Comfortable and easily stuck in a pocket this isn't going to get in your way. One flaw is the base isn't flat so you can't sit it upright as with the nord. The pods don't leak, at least they haven't for me so far, that's a huge plus. They do build up a bit of condensation inside the mouth piece, but I can't really see any way around this. Personally I would have like to see the checkerboard designs the nord had on this, but they have a decent amount of colors to suit pretty much everyone. Overall really well designed.
Last thing is features, it doesn't have any. It's a pod system and that's just generally how it goes. I would like the ability to switch between voltage modes, this could also let people enjoy the mesh coils on lower voltages. Using quick consecutive puffs could change the mode. That along side an airflow control and ide throw away everything else I use probably. Aside from that all I could ask for is more battery making it slightly larger(call it the novo +).
Even without the features this is a great device, I've got a stack of various devices that have all been gathering dust since I got it. I can't help point out flaws, but every device has them and the novo makes up for its twice over. Would I recommend it? without question.”
