“In October 2020 I replaced six LSI Xenon Step Light fixtures that had been installed in the stairwell leading from our upstairs mudroom to the downstairs daylight walkout basement since 2008. Some of the Xenon lights had burned out and I was told there were no replacement bulbs or retrofit kits to upgrade these older fixtures, so I decided to replace them with the more energy efficient LSI LED fixtures of the same design.
The LED fixtures were very easy to install where the Xenon fixtures had been. The new LED fixtures came with all the necessary push-in wire connectors already attached and I used the Romex strain relief fittings from the old fixtures making it unnecessary to purchase any additional parts to make the conversion.
The new fixtures retrofit into the existing openings and the mounting holes and strain relief openings were exactly the same as the old fixtures making the wiring and mounting a snap.
I am very pleased with the high quality of the fixtures, the ease of installation, and the fact that the LED light can be replaced using an LED module should it burn out.
The stairs are so well lit now with these new LED lights that no other lights need to be turned on day or night to illuminate the steps.
The cost of the fixtures was very reasonable for the level of high quality, delivery was fast, considering the COVID-19 issues and the customer support people at Prolighting were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Prolighting for all your lighting questions and needs”
