“First time setting up LED panels, but I heard RAB made good quality stuff. Generally I think the panels meet the standard; very consistent and good color accuracy. A little bit of electronic noise (hum) which I wasn't expecting, but I'm not sure how common that is with these types of panels. My main complaint is that the mounting hardware included with each panel included four toggle bolt anchors each with very inconsistent and substandard quality. Some anchors showed signs of corrosion like they had been left in a wet environment before being packed, and most of the anchors had an inconsistent diameter, which caused multiple anchors to be unable to tension since the threads disengaged at certain parts of the bolt.
I would urge RAB to improve their QC of the mounting hardware they ship with the panels.
Regarding the hum, this might just be a consequence of this particular panel which supports 120V triac dimming, but the hum is present at 100% using a best in class Lutron Caseta Diva dimmer. For a premium product with a premium price I was expecting a bit more.”
