“I purchased 24 stairwell fixtures from two suppliers. 16 from PROLIGHTING of which 5 of the 9 i have installed so far, 5 fixtures fail to remain on for 90 minutes. One fixture would not stay on emergency battery at all, several remained on only 30 minutes. I am now testing all functions on fixtures before installing.
Three of the eight fixtures from another supplier have failed to provide 90 minutes of emergency lighting.
A failure rate of emergency lighting in excess of 30% is ridiculous
Be prepared to answer a host of questions from Sylvania if you make a warranty claim. I have requested only replacement batteries and await Sylvania response.
I am providing a picture of my pre installation test in progress. Note you can also expect one in 10 to fail to dim. I'm not making a claim on this aspect as it is not a safety issue
My experience with prolighting has been very positive. Timely delivery in protection packaging. Excellent customer support received for warranty claim
This is a great light when it works, just need better quality control.
PS. Does not include a knockout clamp for securing wiring. I also suggest wago or similar connectors installed on fixtures before trying to mount because if working alone it makes the connection easier and faster.”
