“We bought these to retrofit some old can lights. The kit has all kinds of options but mostly for new construction. They did work but the spring clips do not pull them all the way up to the ceiling. There is about 3/16 to 1/4 inch gap and no way to get them tight to the ceiling. We qill keep them until I can find a better solution but I will not buy more for the other cans.”
“These 8 in led replacement lights worked perfectly and snugged up flush after adjusting the can clips. Prolighting was a pleasure to deal with and answered my couple of questions thoroughly. I will be ordering more of these lights for my kitchen in the near future!”
“We needed to update old 8”’can lights at our church. 8” LED solutions that don’t require removing the can and rewiring the unit are very hard to find. This unit offers hard-wire or bulb receptacle power options and two ways to mount, either arms to clamp to drywall (as shipped) or spring clips for use inside an existing can. They are plenty bright, dim evenly, have 5 color temperature settings, and give an even light distribution over the disk. We tried one, it took 2 minutes to install. It was $10 less than a much more cheaply built option from Amazon. We’ have ordered more!”
“Lights look good and work great especially the ability to change temperature of light. But, the metal spring attachments for attaching the fixture into a recessed can is not strong enough to support the weight of the light and the little screws strip way to easily when attaching these installation brackets.”
