“Needed the extra wide light to help cover some spots while working in a 6" can that was new construction, so not coming out easily while keeping sheetrock intact. I saw a review that said the springs were tight, I would disagree. We ordered a total of 10 and one of the color switches was not changed, so I had to pull it back down, and had a hard time getting it to stay. The metal for the spring is a little too soft, I was able to bend it and make it work, but the light is just a tad too heavy for those springs. However, the lights look great, and a lot more brighter than the cans we had before.”
“I bought this to replace an outdated can light that took a lightbulb. The entire piece was 8" wide but the light bulb was only 4" wide, not much light. This new light though, crisp bright light (the setting I chose) the lighting surface is most of the surface and it covers the 8" hole cut for the previous light. Install was super quick and easy as well. I'll be buying more!”
“Fit my outdated 7” recessed can lights. I was able to get these to fit flush to the ceiling by using the heavy spring loaded hardware included in the kit. There were some fold down tabs in the original cans than I bent down for installation. This helped to hold everything tight. They look fantastic installed.”
“Purchased one of these to see if it would fit in replacing 8” ceiling floodlights. After finding out that it does fit, purchased 3 more. Salesperson very helpful.”
“We bought these to retrofit some old can lights. The kit has all kinds of options but mostly for new construction. They did work but the spring clips do not pull them all the way up to the ceiling. There is about 3/16 to 1/4 inch gap and no way to get them tight to the ceiling. We qill keep them until I can find a better solution but I will not buy more for the other cans.”
