“The moleskin breeks appeared to me to be well made and of good quality. However..I was very disappointed to discover after my very first wearing of them just around the house that some 2cms of stiching had come undone where the knee band is secured to the breek leg at a critical stress point. I had to hand stitch a repair immediately to prevent any further loss of stitching on this seam. The material is quite thick as is the seam overlap, so it took a while to undertake a rough and ready emergency holding repair. I think that the securing velco strip is too short, limiting the degree of fastening possibilities. The belt loops will only suit a standard trouser belt width, I couldnt use my usual wider and heavier belt. I find myself asking the question, are these knee britches more for show rather than a rugged and reliant pair of practical moleskins that one might want out in the field? Maybe it was the false decorative knee strap and buckles which obscured the fact that the knee band is actually secured by a rather inadequate velcro fastening? When I try out these breeks out in the field Ill be sure to bring a good sewing kit with me. A disappointed Michael N.”
