“got one for my daughter when she hit college, after a few times of use we have realized that if you suck in rather than blow out, you can still get a reading anywhere from 0.0 to 0.01. My daughter would have to "blow" in one for her own safety and our comfort of making sure she was okay. She soon learned that if you suck in rather than blow out, it may still give you a super low reading but it is no where near accurate. We realized this when we asked her to blow at a party before she drove... she sucked in rather than blew out and blew a 0.015... we knew she was okay so we let her drive our car home... she had an accident... cop on scene had her blow and her BAC was actually 0.28. we couldn't understand why her BAC was so high as she just blew and it was way below legal limits..... now we are dealing with a DUI for our 22 year old daughter because she told us that if you suck instead of blow on this model, it barely registers anything.... not impressed given how much we spent to make sure she was okay. this device has a cheat and that is not good.”
“We got a BACtrack unit for our son. He's young and we thought this would help him stay safe. So far so good. He's really good about using it. We got a unit for the house just in case we ever feel unsure about our own consumption. We really haven't needed it 1 month after getting it but just knowing it's available is so nice. One bad choice could mean thousands of dollars and years of headaches. Not to mention the hurt one can cause another family. I'll take the peace of mind on stand-by any day.”
“This item does not work. I tried to contact customer service, but all I get is a recording. They don't return phone calls or emails. All they want is your money. Do not buy this product. I am stuck with a piece of junk that doesn't work. Buyers Beware.”
