“Purchased this product after a discussion with friends and family about states considering lowering the BAC limit for driving from 0.08 to 0.04. My adult children all assured me that they had a good gauge for their "limits" when out drinking, so I decided to put it to the test. The unit is compact, comes with everything you need, including clear instructions and warranty information. The case is actually functional and hold all of the stuff you need for testing plus the manual and extra mouthpieces. The instructions state that you have to wait 15 minutes after eating AND/OR drinking before testing. This is actually the hardest part. Perhaps a timer function built into the unit would be a future update. It turns out that everyone, including myself, vastly underestimated the affect of individual drinks on our BAC. If you live in a locality that moves the limit down to 0.04 you might be curious to see how quickly you can reach that without feeling impaired.”

“In Ontario,Canada, there are two limits. One is 0.05 and the other is 0.08 as in the USA. The 0.05 is so easy to hit that you must carry this device to all functions. I belong to a wine-making club and we all have the S-80 and use it too! The cost of being caught drunk far outways the cost of this unit”
“This product has come in handy on many occasions - most recently the day -after- a bachelor party. After many uses, I've found this product to be reliable, consistent, and accurate. It comes in handy so many times because restaturants make their drinks different. The only thing I find difficult is that you aren't supposed to eat, drink, smoke etc. before using for 20+ minutes. I did plenty of research before purchasing and have not been let down with this product. It does require regular maintenance for accuracy, but the company is fanastic to work with! Other friends have bought the same model after using mine with the same results.”
