“I did not sign up to listen and watch Doreen Lawrence talk, there are others I wanted to watch. But once started I had to listen to all episodes. I was deeply moved by her story and her handling of grief. Her strength of character is evident throughout. Amazing woman!”

“It wasn’t really a course. Insightful, yes. And informative of what she had endured with the death of her son and the terrible circumstances surrounding it all. But it was more biographic than a course. I didn’t really find any big take away from it.”

“I loved this course and getting Doreen Lawrence story and fight. I work in inclusion and in our trainings, we talk about how Stephen Lawrence’s parents inquiry changed so many things! So, I have loved listening to her. It has also been important her reflection on grief. Thank you so much for this course.”

“Doreen is an incredible and inspirational human being who has been through a trauma that few of us have had to endure. I have huge admiration for her. And thank goodness there are people like her out there.
If this course had been entitled something like "Doreen Lawrence: How I found the inner strength ..." or some such, then I would have rated it more highly.
However, I don't think this course (if it was designed as such) provides you (ie me the viewer) with the tools to find your own inner strength. So, while it is undoubtedly a moving story, I didn't find it instructive.”
