“The lessons are short and entertaining. More importantly, they’re taught by well-respected experts in their field, so you feel confident you’re getting the best instruction possible.”
“I like the conversational format used in the Lee Child course. It's like sitting with him in a living room and listening to his wisdom and experience firsthand. Any question I could have thought of has been considered and included in the discussion - it's just a great learning format. I plan on taking the Harlan Coben course next.”
“I have just started a poetry course, my first experience of Maestro, and I am enjoying it very much. I have some experience of reading and writing poetry, but this is not a necessary requirement of the course. Carol Ann Duffy is an engaging and informative presenter.”
“It is good, so far I like 2 of the classes and not too thrilled witho 2 others I tried. But if you sign up for all classes there are a lot to choose from.”
“I got BBC Maestro just a couple a weeks ago and my first course is with Ken Follet. It’s really informative and enjoyable. I’m halfway through it and look forward to the rest. After this I will take the Isabell Alliende course. I’m stuck!”
“Logging in every time each time my password isn’t recognized. It’s very frustrating because I paid for something that is now difficult to impossible at times to use because of a password. I’ve ready downloaded the app why the extra security? It’s not necessary and it’s keeping me from being able to master, what could change my life. They can email me info to leave a review but not to change my password. It was a complete waste of money for me.”

“I purchased the Harlen Coben BBC Maestro writing class because I knew I would learn a great deal from him. I was writing my second book, and I want it to be better than the first! I learnt about pacing the stories, as I can be too fast. Also, the lecture on dialogue was great for me. I use a lot of dialogue. He gives tips on how to keep notes of all the ideas you have throughout the day. Write them down somewhere and file them. You never know when they may come in useful.
The course made me feel supermotivated and knowledgeable. Writing can be a lonely journey, so it was good to hear what he has to say. Now that I’ve finished the course I’m going to keep writing my second book with much more knowledge, confidence and gusto than I had before.
My favourite thing about the course is that he made me feel like I can be better at writing. If I could summaries the course in one sentence, I would say that Harlan gives you a lot of good tips on how to just get the writing done! You may have a lot of good ideas, but you need to put in the work also.
I would recommend this course to anyone who is considering being a writer, who is halfway through writing and who even, like me has already published a book. Because he can help you with all of those things. All you have to do is listen!

“I previously believed it would bore me to watch videos of someone I admire, that my hope of learning would be met with frustration. I was so wrong, at least with the master I selected, Isabel Allende. She is giving secret amazing knowledge for a very small investment of your time and money. It has taken me ten years to learn what I was doing wrong with my novel in progress. Had the BBC master been available to me then I could have saved myself a lot of work in the wrong direction. This woman (Isabel Allende) is a literary angel come down to offer the best she has. I wish I had signed up sooner. The BBC maestro is an amazing program. 10 stars.”
