“Have only recently signed up for full access to all the BBC Maestro courses. This seems like good value compared to a single course price. So far am enjoying the courses I have dipped into. Its nice to be able to watch as and when I like and the downloadable course materials will be useful for future reference.”
“The app and online versions are easy to use, and the course content of the two courses I've looked at so far is entertaining, instructive and relevan.”
“I love having Isabel Allende give the lessons, she is amazing and extremely interesting. I have learned a lot and will start arranging my book when I finish the lessons. She is easy to understand and gives wonderful examples. I give her 5 Stars.
The only reason I gave a 4 star and not 5 is because of the computerized problems. She freezes al lot and its hard to understand. I repeat this has nothing to do with Ms Allende, its the programs they have used to present it. It freezes specially at the beginning.”
“Newlt told about BBC Maestro by a friend and this 79 year old 'lifelong learner'
is thrilled to see such a variety of new things to be inquisitive about.
First course begun' Time Management'--what a challenge as I'm in my 4000th week
(The Lecturer's fascinating book of Life through TM)
I will certainly continue to 'talk-up' this great learning platform to those , who like me until recently,
haven't hear of it.”
“I've only just started using the course.I love the bit size lessons....this suits my availability...I've only looked at 4 lessons so far with Julia Donaldson and I've learnt so much already...I use my phone and I can take it all over the house.”
“So far so good ,only listened to part of one course but see there are others that interest me.wasnt sure what to expect with the helping you to write a book ,my judgement is out at the moment but all very exciting”
“Two of the courses were particularly helpful, very engaging speakers. I would definately recommend some of these videos, I am not sure exactly what role the course materials play in some cases as they are verbatim to what is being said in the video. So this may be if you wanted to keep a record of that. The only critique I might make is that Maestro is very heavy on courses for aspiring writers, and too few for other professions.”
“Some big names heading up lessons on here and a good spread of categories. The tech and clarity of videos is really good and one day you can be learning to bake bread and the next writing a blockbuster novel. To get 5 stars they just need to increase the number of lessons, which I'm sure will come with time.”
“Insightful lessons from renowned experts, which you can keep and return to as often as you like. The icing on the cake would have been a chance to try out some creative writing for feedback.”
