He took apart the process of making a film - from ideas, to structure, to casting, to editing - all enriched with practical examples from his own work and that of others. And I appreciated his can-do attitude, showing how he made things happen in his own career, coming from a small town with no connections to the industry.”

“An engaging course, with a lot of pertinent advise from someone who is very much a "self-made" success in the movie industry. Edgar comes across as a warm and helpful personality, who is open and willing to share what is useful about how he got his films made and out there. He takes you through every step of the journey — both to makign your first movies, to becoming an established film maker. It helps to have seen Edgar's main films (Sean of the Dead, Baby Rider etc), since he will often refer to these as examples.”
