“The Fly6 Pro performs admirably. I do a lot of my cycling on quiet country lanes and and am glad that I can record my ride, should playback ever be required and also that the lights are extremely bright to warn motorists.
My only concern is that if the roads are wet and muddy, then the light and camera does pick up quite a lot of dirt and muck.”
“The good: USB C, improved resolution compared to older models
The medium: Garmin like attachment, but not as good as Garmin's solution
The bad: Battery cannot be replaced, creates unnecessary electronic trash
The absolute worst ever: Door to access SD card and USB port. It opens during rides. Fortunately I didn't break it when I hit the open door with the back of my leg. I need to tape it to keep it shut during rides. 3 points deduction for this design.”
“Video quality is second to none and image stabilisation is excellent, although low light performance could be better (dusk/dawn where it couldn;t record number plates and the back of cars became one solid pixelated colour). Sensor needs better dynamic range for this reason. The menu is OK, but could be more intuitive and pairing to see video with the app is problematic with the wifi on the camera itself being intermittent and only available when you first switch on - it often takes 3-4 goes to pair.”
“First time holding it in my hands it does feel solid. Batt was long lasting given my ride was from 5am to noon with some breaks in between. Off during the breaks. Left with 2 bars. Not sure about how bright the lights are, but if the blink is customizable via app would be great!”
“Fly6 Pro is good ...records good clear video ...the plastic mounts need out fitting with aluminium ...maybe delete a light and install a radar... Plus need handlebar control to start stop n save footage in close calls near miss ...or install update that can pair with Fly12 Sport .. so one push of Fly12 buttons also work Fly6”
