“I'm(28f) 5'1" and 110lbs and it's the perfect size for my day to day needs.
What I was looking for : A backpack that's smaller than regular because usual backpacks look ridiculously large on me and that leads to chronic back pain. I need a backpack that looks professional enough to replace my purse for work(NYC fidi job), can fit a laptop, a book and few makeup i usually carry around.

Material feels sturdy enough to hold its own shape, and feels like high quality
Looks modern and chic
Fits me how regular backpack seem to fit taller people
Shoulder padding has good enough padding for support without being bulky
Love the separate laptop sleeve, and can fit my 14" macbook, 4 books(think standard novel books), a wine bottle, my makeup pouch and ipad.
The weight of the books and other things in the front pocket doesn't pull the backpack backwards (I carried it around when running errands for less than an hour just to test it.)
Weight distribution is good so far
Laptop pocket has good padding
Front zipper gives easy access to things like wallet and keys
Concerns:
Bottle pocket takes up space in the main compartment. I don't usually carry water bottles so personally i would have done without it.
Overall seams look tight and seamless, but I found 2 loose strings by one of the zippers
The opening for the laptop compartment could be bigger, it's a bit snug right now.
Overall review : So far I am pleasantly surprised by how much I like the bag. And impressed with the capacity while maintaining a slim fit look. Hopefully the quality holds up to my expectation with wear and tear over time.”
“Oh wow. Best backpack. I waffled on it because of the price, but their commitment to sustainability and the reviews backing the high quality/longterm durability pushed me over the edge. I am SO GLAD I DID. It's the backpack of my dreams. I love how organized it keeps me, with the perfect pockets for all my little and big things. I'm an art therapist who works at a preschool, and the slim backpack has all the just-right spots for my daily things, with space for lunch/water/etc trinkets or art supplies and odds and ends that I need to throw in. I was nervous I'd regret not getting the bigger bag, but being petite I am so glad I went slim. I'm still able to keep everything (and more) that I need in it, and it's such a great daily bag size for little errands as well. I got a cord pouch too that I keep some cords/some essential oils/some tinctures in, and it's just right. I can't believe how intentional and well thought out the design of their products is. The colors are so gorgeous, with way more depth than the pictures can portray. If you're on the fence, do it. There is no better backpack than Day Owl!”

Diaper bag when running quick errands. Light weight enough to hang on the back of a stroller or carry while also carrying my baby. I use it everyday and there’s a spot for everything I need and it’s green :) Color is a little off from the picture or what I expected it’s much darker and a dirtier color but I guess that’s expected with recyclable material? I would’ve preferred it to match the picture but I still like it. Material is strong sturdy. In all I love it!!”
