This is a complex and bold Shiraz that others would charge 60 bucks for. It's a little dry - like someone dropped some vines into the mix - but only in a way that makes it feel like a proper wine. It's meaty, juicy and balanced and I'd say it's best appreciated on its own. Like eating a steak with just the right amount of mushroom sauce on it, sometimes those greens on the side of your plate seem unnecessary.
