"Tasty drop - something different that\u2019s for sure - very rich tho "
Barclay Crawford
"If a rookie is young, starting out and not yet fully competent, that's a clue to how this particular wine comes across to me. (Not the winemaker who, I'm guessing, knows precisely what he's doing.) The flavour pops, lots of acidity, light weight but interesting enough to keep me coming back for another sip. I respect the ideology of minimal intervention, but I think this wine suffers because of it."

"I tried a few Poppelvej wines, including the Sterjne Pet Nat and the Rookie Grenache. This Ost Riesling was the one I enjoyed best, once I had put out of my mind what I usually expect from a Riesling. The acidity carries the small amount of residual sugar well. It looks murky, but the flavour makes up for it. I'd buy this again."

"Crystal clear and a lovely sunset amber in the glass. Tart mandarin and yellow grapefruit aromas. Very minimal tannins and a fresh acidity that doesn't linger. No overt funkiness or astringency to speak of makes it an ideal candidate for anyone wanting to try a refined skin-contact white without getting into anything too different. "
Jesse Holt
"Starts off very nicely with a good little savoury bite and plenty of texture but the sweetness overpowers it after a while."
Hayley Williamson
"Usually its hard to find good quality and memorable pinot for under $50. But this tidy pack bucks the trend and proves you can still find some excellent pinots at around $25-$30 a bottle. The highlight? It's hard to go past the Gilbert, a true classic pinot from Orange in NSW. The Stoney Rise was a little average, but still a good on the couch quaffer!"
Alex Wain
"A traditional method blend, this is a delicious Aussie take on the French style. Perfectly pale pink in colour that smells as though you are walking through a strawberry farm. It tastes of red berries dancing like poised ballerinas. Elegant and refined, with a balanced dry finish. Lip-smackingly good. \n\nA superb drop that I'd put up there in the top 10 pink traditional method sparkling wines in Australia - right up there with Deviation Road's Altair Brut Rose. So good!!"
