“Almost tropical aromatics, dried florals and an undercurrent of citrus rind lead to a palate of green apples, grapefruit, lemon pith and stoney minerality. There's a bit of palate weight from time on lees, prolonging the flavours deliciously. All this is supported by a backbone of steely acidity, to round things off. Extremely focused with a lovely lengthy finish. And this from winemaker Barney Flanders, using some of the only Aligote vines in the country. Top stuff. I'd grab it again.”
