About DIY Family Films:

DIY Family Films helps busy parents create beautiful home movies with their phones instead of just collecting 1000's of clips they do nothing with. We offer a made-for busy-parents 5-star course and an additional collection of follow-up courses and workshops.

Do you have a never ending camera roll full of cute moments of your kids...that you do nothing with? Do you feel overwhelmed by all the digital clutter and wonder...what am I going to DO with all this?

Time with our kids flies by and we all want to have great video and photo memories to look back on - but constantly collecting clips is NOT the same as capturing memories.

The DIY Family Films Method is a simple, step-by-step approach that teaches parents how to film and edit professional-looking home videos using just their smartphones. No fancy gear, no hours of editing—just quick, easy lessons that fit into real life.

Founded by two busy moms - Tenille and Jocelyn - who have 30 years of experience with video between them, DIY Family Films has over 30,000 students learning how to preserve their favourite memories in a way that feels fun and effortless.

Our goal is help you create keepsakes your family will cherish forever while being on your phone LESS.

She breaks everything down so easily. Even as a beginner, I’m able to create beautiful videos we treasure so much more than the thousands of clips and pics.

Great succinct tutorials and the concept is to reduce the amount of digital clutter and teach us ways to make them into memories that we would actually watch.

So happy I signed up for this course on a whim one night. I've been able to capture so many wonderfully, meaningful memories of my kids special milestones (and also some special day to day memories too!) So many great canera tips and tricks for capturing home videos. I only wish I'd doscovered the course sooner. Definitely recommend!!!

The DIY Family Films Course is so good. The lessons are short, but informative. You are able to immediately take what you learned and apply it. I have used the course to create multiple family films as well as I have used the editing tips to create a film from previous video footage before the course. My whole family has loved seeing these films. I have received so many compliments when I've shared them with others. I highly recommend this course to take your phone videos to the next level and actually enjoy watching them instead of letting them sit on your phone.

I wish this was out when I had my kiddo as there isn't a parent out there who doesn't take a rediculous amount of photos/videos of their kiddo. This is a super simple, yet incredibly effective tutorial in not only creating videos that replace the tons of videos/photos you take (and probably will never scroll through to watch again) but also allows you to focus on being in the moment instead of constantly trying to capture the entire time.

I stumbled accross the course through a random FB ad when my son was about 18 months old. It was seriously one of the best things I've ever done! There is SO much info packed into the course, but she does such a fabulous job of teaching and boiling it down to just what you need to know to create these incredible videos (and not learning a whole bunch of technical stuff you don't need). My son is now 4 and it is THE BEST THING EVER having a lovely collection of videos from the last few years that we rewatch all the time and enjoy, rather than a ton of little clips that would be lost in the digital clutter on my phone. I treasure these videos now, and I know I will treasure them even more 20 years from now when I can look back on my children's childhoods. Seriously I wish every single mom would take this course! You will be so glad you did.

Practical and interesting ways to improve on what you are already doing - simply doing it a bit differently and ending up with a vastly better memory for your family and future generations!

This course has so much great content. I was very much a beginner when I purchased it and was really pleased with the videos I made after going through it the first time. I plan to go through the course again because there is more to learn that I probably missed and I'm excited to make mini films my family will enjoy far more than scrolling through my phone to look through old pictures.
