Part of Hikvision's new Enterprise range of network cameras, the DS-2CD5A46G0-IZS is an outdoor, motorised varifocal IR bullet camera that produces an exceptional 4MP high-resolution video. Powered by both Hikvision's Darkfighter and Lightfigther technology, it can produce an incredibly well-balanced image both under ultra-low light and with extreme back lighting condition. With the latest innovation in image sensor technology and high definition image processing chipset, it supports H.265 and H.265+ intelligent video compression, which reduces bandwidth/storage requirements by up to 50% and 80%, respectively. Providing an ideal combination of smart features and affordability, the camera includes 140dB true wide dynamic range (WDR), audio/alarm IO and built-in EXIR 2.0 infrared technology providing up to 50m visibility at night. With a 2.8-12mm motorised varifocal lens, this camera offers great flexibility.

Rigorously tested, Hikvision's enterprise cameras have been designed to deliver 24/7 video surveillance with the clarity you expect from a Hikvision network camera.

I purchased this camera for its low light performance. The camera is mounted high and it covers a reasonably large area at the front of the property. I am lucky enough to have a couple of street lights in the area that provide enough light for the camera to record in colour with an impressive image. On an overcast night, the light is just low enough for the camera to switch over to B&W, but the IR range is excellent and the image is still very clear. With a wide field of view over a large area the 4MP struggles with detail on digital zoom, but at this price point it's still excellent bang for bucks.

Purchased one of these cameras based on a recommendation of Hikvision dark fighter and low light performance. I have a very dark area down the side of my house and this camera just lights it up at night without any additional IR lighting required. Would highly recommend these cameras
