Big baby sleep program Reviews

4.8 Rating 96 Reviews
Seriously life changing - we were dreading the "4 month sleep regression" while she started to wake again overnight we knew once her calorie intake increased we'd be right ...and it was... sleeping 7-7 before we knew it. Thank you Dr Golly!!!

Every new parent in Australia needs to buy this program! Dr Golly is so empowering and taught us to trust our instincts (we'd started to really doubt ourselves). Our baby went from waking every 2 hours through the night to sleeping 11pm-7am just about every night. Cannot recommend this enough!!!

Lack of evidence to support the strategies and guidelines of the approach, nothing referenced and appears to be founded on anecdotal experience alone. It is a sleep training program which I don’t think was advertised - I.e. leave child If crying, Even for a short time. Advertisements are very effective at targeting tired mums and promising results without mentioning the type of approach (sleep training). I though it would be more evidence based (research studies) and find it hard to believe in the strategies and let baby cry without clear explanation of why it’s worth it and won’t impact attachment an trust.

Hi Gemma - My philosophy is there is no one size fits all solution to sleep and settling you need to find what works for your family and your baby - that's why I include lots of options for families to choose from. I never advise parents to let a baby cry it out with no intervention and I don't suggest this in the program - but some families do find the more traditional methods incredibly effective (as does the research) - other parents find the more gentle methods in the program more effective (and the research supports this too). With regard to research we know our audience is busy and tired and they want the answers they trust – they have purchased a program written by a paediatrician and team of experts for this reason. Academic papers are often difficult to read and digest, as is formal academic writing with linked or referenced papers. We haven't included academic references and clinical guidelines throughout the program as we wanted this information in the Dr Golly Sleep Program to be readily available to parents and caregivers in a highly consumable manner. We've really taken your feedback on board - and added all the academic references into their own section for parents who want to go deep – but keep it nice and easy to read for everyone else. In each of the 6 Dr Golly Sleep Programs you’ll now find a (rather dense) chapter with over 120 academic papers and clinical guidelines that are directly or indirectly referred to throughout the program. There's a blog that's publicly available too now: https://drgolly.com/evidence-based-research-clinical-experience/ We'd love to help your family on your sleep journey if you're open to it please send a note to hello@drgolly.com and the team will follow up. Kind Regards, Dr Golly

Invaluable information! Has made a huge difference with our baby. Sooo many things we didn’t know with our first baby. Has made me realise how little we knew about the importance of winding, settling techniques, resettling, sleep cycles, awake windows etc. First baby I breastfed to sleep and had to hold her for every nap or she wouldn’t sleep at all. Woke every 2 hrs overnight and I was a zombie. This time around has been so so different. Baby sleeps in his cot for all his naps, sleeps way better overnight, and I’m actually able to put down drowsy but awake and gently bum pat to sleep. Takes me max 5 mins to get him to sleep vs 30mins of feeding to sleep, then another 15-20mins of holding before a careful transfer to bed which often failed. So glad I did this program and will be purchasing the next one when our little boy gets to that age.

Definitely helpful info, especially the winding technique which helped a lot as a newborn and some helpful info regarding starting solids. For us we needed more specific and tailored information because not everything applies well to our son, we did book a one on one consult with a consultant which I think is going to make the most difference. If Dr Golly had some zoom consultants and specific plans for babies that would be much better as not all babies are the same.

Easy to follow, great info! My baby was sleeping through the night within a few days. Having two settling technique options was great as the first didn’t suit my baby. The second worked well. Quick responses from the team when I had a question, too! Recommended!

Wow! I am incredibly grateful for having found this program for our 6 month old. He has settled in to the daytime naps amazingly within a week, previously he needed contact and motion and every nap was a struggle! We are still working through the night wakings however I am extremely optimistic as the advice around feeding, having solids and burping is so helpful. My Husband keeps saying Dr Golly knows what he is talking about everyt
