“The Palram product purchased was easy to construct with few issues. I prepared the ground and layed several plastic pallets purchased for the platform to construct it on. My thoughts were that this would give it airflow beneath and keep the structure dry. I also laid a damp proof layer on top of this to protect it.
The sructure seems quite sturdy, however it isn't as secure as I'd hoped. It would be easy to push in the panels to gain entry. I had considered this before but decided the risk was ok given how low maintenance it would be. I have however had a problem with the roof which are just very thin single skin polycarbonat sheets. They look great but I found that condensation would build up on the inside very quickly and because of the fake tile like contours, made the pitch of the roof to low to allow water to run down and out. Instead the water would constantly drip inside the shed and make everything wet. My tools and other items started to rust and some things have had to be thrown out because of damp damage.
I have now replaced this at my own cost with twin wall polycarbonate sheets which resolved the issue straight away. I do wish I had purchased a wooden shed instead. It would have been warmer, dryer and far more sturdy. See pic's. Lessons learnt!”
