“I paid extra to order from Elbec because they promised faster delivery than other retailers. Unfortunately, the shed arrived damaged and incomplete. The delivery driver removed the damaged part and I was assured replacements would follow, but I then received the wrong part and had to chase repeatedly.
In the end it took weeks, multiple failed deliveries, and a lot of frustration before the correct part finally arrived — far slower and more stressful than if I’d ordered elsewhere for less.
The product itself is fine now that it’s complete, but the customer service experience was very poor. Based on my experience, I would not order from Elbec again.”
“Shed just OK. Had to fill 1 inch gaps in the planking to prevent rodents from entering.
No one contacted me to say when it would be delivered. No communication what so ever. Not good.”
“Delivery was as expected with no issues. The Canopy product was competitively priced and is of a good quality. The instructions on installing it with the right tools were very clear and you definately need two persons to do it as recommended. It was up within an hour of its delivery and looks great.”
“The shed was decent overall but not outstanding. It went together quite well after a little bit of fettling here and there. We had to replace some of the feather edge boards as some of them on one panel in particular were not straight and left a gaping hole. It does the job of storing tools, gardening equipment etc and looks good at the top of the garden. Ok for the money.”
“The customer care team have been exceptional.
Sadly the independent delivery services were not so communicative. The items from Forest were delivered without warning, even when explicitly asked for pre-notification of pending delivery. Shire delivery service was exceptional.”
“The bits of wood were not numbered and it was difficult to know where each one went. The door was warped and had to have a catch put on it, to keep it closed. The windows don't stay flat against the plastic bits at the bottom of the panes. It is very light and a strong gale (which we are prone to here) would blow it over, so I could not put it where I wanted, but had to relocate it to different spot. It took 6 hours to put it together.”
“Straight forward to build however needed to reinforce the back to prevent it bowing and distorting the 4 roof panels.
The catches and general metal furniture was very low quality”

“No communication on time of delivery, had to phone shire to find out, delivery arrived on date specified, but was told by driver after unloading, that the glazing will come in a week or two. Now have a completed summerhouse/workshop that is not watertight or secure”
