“My greenhouse arrived with three very warped doors. Upon contacting the garden centre I was informed it was due to the heat. I don’t think so. They arrived warped. After a few emails they have now agreed to send new doors. Let’s hope these are not warped. It might be a good idea in future if orders were checked before they were sent for delivery.”

“We asked for compensation for the trouble that it caused us recieving damaged goods, having to return them and waiting for a repeat delivery. Elbec accused the warehouse of packing goods poorly ,and the warehouse said our contract of sale was with Elbec so take it up with them! Hence we got nowhere!”

“My joiner had to spend a lot of time correcting the frame, locks, doors etc. it’s ok now it’s finished but don’t expect it to look like the pictures. Had to purchase extra strengthening timbers to support the roof. The metal brackets didn’t even hold the weight of the roof.”

“Generally poorly designed and poorly made.
Windows leaked with first rain, had to make my own returns around the doors to keep rain out and silicon all windows, roof design is complete rubbish and leaves massive gap all the way around.”

“This Product was installed by Landscape Builders onto concrete base.
Sides would not fit correctly, joints left gaps. Extra support beams had to be installed
One side section appearred to be left untreated.
Roof would not sit correctly due to warrped sides ( further supports added)
Roofing Felt- very poor quality
Builders asked if I purchased from on-line TEMU !!”

“Final result looks well but I had to repair two places with glue and screws where the main legs split along the grain or laminated joins. In light of this I took the warning about the fragility of the top joint seriously and had a couple of cross braces to strengthen it.”

“I purchased a 7x5 apex overlap shed from Elbec. Built the shed and 3 weeks later the over lap boards are warping leaving big gaps in the side of the shed.
To be fair to Elbec they sent my email & Photos to Forest Sheds who supplied the shed.
I eventually got a reply from Forest saying that the Panel boards will warp ?
They have offered to supply another panel however it’s not that simple as you can’t get at the panel and you would have to pull the shed to pieces and also remove half the roof as there are several screws under the felt.
We will see where this leads.
To be fair to Elbec they were straight onto the complaint.”

“I ordered a garden arch with with a completion date weeks ahead only to be emailed
more delay and still no comletion date.
They have my money I have no arch,my guess Amazon would have one and next day delivery!”

“Very disappointing. It does not align with the description on the website.
It certainly is not built with thicker than normal timbers. The way the windows are fitted is a joke, they are not anchored at the top or bottom and would blow out in a good wind. When you connect two window panels the windows do not align, in my case there was about 1 inch difference in height.
The shed has only been built for 10 days and already there are gaps showing between the shiplap cladding.
Certainly would not have bought if I'd seen one built in advance.”

“This is a nightmare to put together, the instructions are not clear at all, I’m a graphic designer, I could have written a better manual myself…. Apart from cutting the hands of me(even with gloves) I didn’t realize it doesn’t come with a bottom!!!!”

“Delivery and construction was good but the Look good but is not “ man enough” to reliably carry people particularly if teenagers are running. The wood on the base of the bridge is too thin to trust.
Now it is simply an ornament and I had to find another solution to our bridge issue.”

“Was told that the greenhouse had been delivered and was sent a ‘photo’ of the delivered item at 8pm , so went searching in the dark outside, but the item was not there. Patronising customer service the next day. Delivered two weeks later by lovely driver. Instructions were so small we needed a magnifying glass , no labelling, no separate bags for different sized screws, flimsy hinges. Wood was average quality but a lot was staple gunned rather than properly put together. We needed to undo screws in an upright in order to make door fit, also had to plane another door for same reason. Gave up on having any opening roof windows as it was too difficult to work with bad quality hinges and didn’t have as many opening doors on sides for same reason. Very pleased with it now; it looks good, especially as we didn’t use poor quality and not very nice looking handles for doors. Would have been really disappointed if we had paid full advertised price; as it was the hassle was not really worth the money we paid. Not dead impressed by this company and certainly wouldn’t use them again.”
