“Disappointed with the quality of the product. The roof is bowed. The Perspex windows flimsy. Badly constructed frame. Floor weak with considerable movement. Gaps everywhere, doors uneven (even with a very experienced carpenter to construct) Currently trying to use filler to stop the rain getting in. The name Premium should be taken with a pinch of salt. Have since been back on the product photos on the advert and some are quite clearly artificially altered. Do take the time to study carefully.”

“Shed was ordered and a date booked for delivery. For the following days I received a message reminding of my delivery. Day of delivery I took a day off work as it needed
signing for and consequently that morning received a text to say it had to delayed. On phoning to discuss the delivery I was advised ithad been put back by 3 weeks. I expressed this was not acceptable and told nothing could be done. The delay date was confirmed in an email and by Walton's the delivery company. I asked for a call back from a manager and later received a sharp message from Sharon advising I had got to wrong and she did not know where I had got that from (the phone team and confirmed messages from Elbec) and it would be delivered the following Saturday. It did arrive and I would say you get what you pay for. The shed needed further stength adding as was quite flimsy.”

“I bought the Shire Barclay Corner Summerhouse recently. I was very pleased with the delivery which went smoothly - arrived on the date requested. It went together pretty easily and it's a nice sturdy summerhouse. I would warn anyone buying this though that the door fittings - the latch and handles - are completely unsuitable. The ring handles are too wide for the door frame. The latch comes with a metal staple which there is no room to fit and it does not hold the door properly shut. The door will rattle constantly in a breeze. I've tried my best with both Elbec - who simply passed on my photos, videos and complaints to the manufacturer. The manufacturer thanked me profusely for my time and efforts and basically said they weren't planning on doing anything about it. It's the standard latch they supply with all their products. On that basis they might as well supply one made of jelly and say 'oh well that's the one we supply'. They seemed to think that pointing out that the latch itself is not faulty helps. I agree - the latch itself is not faulty. It just doesn't fit the doors ! I suspect they are using AI in their replies as it does read very oddly - particularly all the compliments to me which frankly I don't need. What I do need is a latch that works. But hey ho - as ever, the customer is just left to sort it out for themselves.”

“Luckily the driver phoned me as was going to be delivered to number 90 instead of 94, the driver was very good and placed item in back garden. Fairly easy to assemble but lots of knots in the wood and visible screw holes. Roof felt was missing and had to wait 5 days for that to be delivered. Saying that we have painted the outside and stained the inside and pleased with result.”

“Ordered a 10 x 8 pent shed with no windows and received one with 2 pairs of windows which will end up against the side wall of the house as it is effectively being used as a lean to shed 🙄.Other than that the shed looks ok.”

“The roof is poor with no central support and also the front overhang has little support and there is nowhere for teh front panel to be sevcured apart from the ends. The instructions whils good do not include all the tools required to build the building. It only lists 2 drill sizes when there at at least four required.”

“Looks good .however having worked in construction for over 40 yrs putting stuff together ain't an issue for me. and I know my way around a mastic gun .but it still leaks like sieve .and the opening light swells every time it rains .so it won't open till the sun's dried it out .no point easing the window as it would pour in .sadly not too impressed really.”

“For the money we paid i cannot really complain; delivery good, product good, door lock poor, glass for windows poor as too small by about half an inch ...I got by with sealant . Again it's not a Rolls Royce so I can deal with issues.”

“The greenhouse arrived in two boxes and was well packaged. The instructions were comprehensive but did lack detail in some places making it difficult to fully understand how things went together. If you purchased accessories such as shelving read those instructions before putting the greenhouse together as there is an advantage to adding the screws to the structure before adding the roof. All the parts are labelled and easily identified within the instructions except the panels themselves. The frame is easy to put together and the panels relatively easy to insert however it would be an advantage to protect the edges of the panels with some sort of tape which would also make it easier for insertion into their allocated slots. The back of the greenhouse has been made up of several panels which does not make sense as the whole thing would be more secure if the back was made up of fewer but longer panels. The instructions suggest a two man build I built it by myself over the period of a week. I used strips of duct tape to ensure the panels did not come out of the frame whilst assembling. The comment about the back doors and unnecessary individual panels also applies to the front doors. Each door comprises three panels when one large one pre-cut would be far better. I can only assume it’s cut to ease packaging and delivery. I purchased automatic window openers which work wonderfully however the black-and-white picture in the instructions do not really give a clear view of how to put the metal plate on the black ends. If they are not on the right way, it makes it difficult to attach the openers to the window. The instructions for the window openers say to disconnect them in wind conditions.however, it is not clear how one does this. I also purchased an anchor kit which consists of two wires that go over the top of the greenhouse and anchors it into the ground with ground spikes. The way of securing the wire is fiddly and the instructions are not clear how to wrap the wire around the metal that restricts movement. Although once figured out is easy to do. I have found that these wires need regular checking as they can loosen. In addition to the anchor kit, I’ve also used eight ground anchors each 12 inches long on the inside of the base. Despite the anchor kit and the ground spikes storm Dave ripped four roof panels and three back panels off the frame.. The roof panels were easy to put back in although annoying that you’ll have to undo screws and the bottom of each roof panel before replacing. The back panels were harder to do and again I had to undo the nuts on the uprights of the frame in order to put the panels back in. Having a tape on the edge of the panels may have helped them not to distort when they were ripped from the frame. They were bent and slightly damaged by the wind and I managed to get all but one edge in correctly . I have reinforced the panels with clear duct tape covering the panels and the frame and so far it’s held up against the winds. This can be assembled by one person taking time, however it would be so much easier with two people. Despite the anchors the whole frame moves in the slightest wind and gthe panels move in the slightest wind. The whole structure is flimsy and I’m not convinced it will weather the winter.”

“While the product was pretty good the actual company that delivered the product sent the incorrect size base and did not readily accept that they had. They suggested I may be putting it together incorrectly which was a little patronising. Eventually they accepted and collected the incorrect base some 3 weeks later. They advised that ELBEC would credit the money for this incorrect base but I am still waiting.”
