“instructions not that clear i have been in engineering and ive seen better, some of the extrusions are very flimsy but i suppose what you pay for is what you get. Better to shop around and check and compare prices.”

“Product was as described and at a fair price. Delivery was as agreed.
We received conflicting advice on the timimng of the installation, resulting in the installer turning up at a different time to the one we were informed. He said that this always happened. So make sure you have someone at home the whole day.
Once installed a damaged panel was found which I am still waiting to be replaced.
Easy to speak to on the phone and seem to be eager to sort the issue out.”

“I bought a 10 x 8 "Sun" potting shed two years ago. Very soon after installation (by your team) on to a new purpose-built concrete slab, I also had it insulated, lined with plywood. The door lock & fittings had to be upgraded and re-fitted. Then it was painted inside & out with top quality oil based outdoor paint. All this was needed to bring it up to an acceptable quality and make it fit for purpose/weatherproof.
Before this, the basic shed I bought from you was poor with gaps in the pre-fabricated panels which also did not line-up properly, more than 20 knot holes in the boards that I could see the light through (that all had to be individually filled), badly fitting/wrongly sized window frames and battens and poor quality fixtures & fittings. I was not expecting the shed to be so basic and badly made. Everything was cheap and flimsy. The 2 men who installed the shed were unskilled & slapdash. They clearly did not know, and had no training on, how to put the shed together and just bodged it. Apart from everything else, when they left I found the door and lock did not fit and some of the battens to hold in the windows had been broken or left off completely. One pane of glass was missing.
Finally last week the roof felt tore apart and ripped off completely. I have had new EPDM roofing put on in its place.
So I have spent a lot of time and money to upgrade a poor quality shed that was not cheap. I thought your customers would like to know what they are buying and what they will need to do to bring their shed up to an acceptable standard.”

“Order arrived on the 17th Oct 2024. Found to have a panel missing. A replacement was despatch on the 23rd Oct 2024 and delivery would be within 3 working days. Panel arrived on the 28th Oct 2024. But that panel was damaged. Again had to contact Forest Garden team who were sorry for the order being damaged. The next Panel was despatched on the 30th Oct2024 and delivery would be within 3 working days again they sent a apologies for any inconvenience caused. Panel arrived on the 4thNov2024 this time the panel was wrapped in a firm plastic flim which stop any damaged. Will say the Forest Garden team did they best for me, but it took 18 days to get my full order, which mean,t that I had a delay on making up the shed by around 21 days after I had finish building the shed. Happy with the shed overall.”

“Roof panel needs to be larger not much of a overhang its a "just" fit also would be better if the roof sloped towards the back due to the lack of overhang the rain water dribeles behide the doors and into the inside !! not much thought into the design of a simple shed !”

“Decent sized shed , however the roof is a nightmare and could do with the parts being clearly marked as to which marries up to which and which way on roof itseld . As I chose 8x8 wall come in two by 4 foot section making them very flexible . Could do with some extra bracing to stop flexion.”

“Arrived carefully stacked and in good condition. Unortunately though there were multiple pieces ( more than the previous shed) and several pieces were either a little long or a little short and needed customising! Some nails were too short and didnt go through one board let alone into the 2nd which was annoying, and had to purchase some longer ones. Looks very smart though albeit a little less sturdy than previous shed.”
“Does the job but supplied with glass missing and poorly fitting windows. When I contacted 'customer service' I was asked to send photos of the missing glass (a bit tricky!) and informed that the windows were not meant to open I've cut some spare greenhouse glass I had, to replace the missing and damaged panes. This is puzzling as all four windows have hinges at the top and are fitted with window stays so that they can be propped open. Two open smoothly as they are obviously intended to, the other two have been poorly and crudely fitted at the manufacturing stage. I have now adjusted them to operate as they are clearly intended to. Overall the product looks good and is right for the location in my garden but Elbec/Shire sell these sheds on the basis that they are a precision manufactured product, which they are not. Basic erection is straightforward but expect to have to make minor adjustments to compensate for weaknesses in the manufacturing process.”

“Quick and easy purchase and brilliant delivery,shed was easy to put up and looks nice.shed itself is fine but panels full of knotts which ended up being holes, roof felt nails are no good so i would but longer ones,only one window panel fitted all the rest i needed to cut to size. Overall it does seem a sturdy shed especially for you pay for it.”
“Took a while to arrive, and was given less than 24hrs notice of delivery. As well as being delivered various little offcuts that had nothing to do with my purchase, the longest single piece was missing. How, no one knows. It's huge. Anyway, another few weeks of waiting. Customer service were apologetic, but the delay was very frustrating. At the end, the attitude felt very much "You got your stuff - what's your problem?"”
“I haven't started building my corner pergola yet. The majority of it arrived, but not the single longest piece. I mean, I got all sorts of little 'bonus' pieces of wood with my order, but not the loooooong front piece. Instead, I had to wait additional weeks for it to get here. I don't know whether the fault was with Elbec or with the supplier/manufacturer, Forest. Elbec customer service kept me fully up to date and were apologetic, but still very frustrating. On another note, the promised warning of an impending delivery before the delivery date never happened first time around, and I was given a 'Hey, it'll be with you some time in the next three working days' the second time. I got a few hours warning on the day that it would arrive at a non-specific time, and that was it. Fortunately, I work from home. How others cope I don't know. Customer service were fine, polite, and so on, but I'm left with a feeling that they don't see a problem. I got my pergola in the end, so why don't I just go away?”
