“Good price vs options from competitors. Pressure treated, so should last a long time. Timber thicknesses are good meaning it’s sturdy (for a log store). I think the roof design/attachment means a too shallow angle is achieved, although the roof is pitched the individual lats are almost horizontal due to overlap and so some seeping can occur, causing drips. I cut the top side lats to allow the roof to sit lower at the front and this cured the issue. I bought two, on one the roof lats are solid with few knotts, on the other I have a knott repeated on a series of roof lats (same tree!). The cracking in the knott was large enough to let light through and it let water through in rain. I’ve sealed the knotts and it hasn’t been a problem since. I think it’s luck of the draw with natural timber products, but perhaps this knotted wood shouldn’t be used for weatherproofing (roof) lats!”
