This Lactoferrin supplement is great for helping to regulate how well iron is absorbed into the body from the intestine and to protect against infections from bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Lactoferrin is a natural protein found in cow and human milk. The first milk produced after a baby is born, Colostrum, contains about seven times more lactoferrin than is found in milk produced later. Lactoferrin is also found in fluids in the eye, nose, respiratory tract, and intestine. Natural lactoferrin levels rise when you have infections or inflammation. This supplement helps to boost these levels to clear or fight away infections effectively and quickly. It also contains zinc which helps improve the immune system. 50 capsules are included with this supplement and 2 are recommended daily, so this provides a 25-day supply. The capsules are rather large but seem to be easy enough to take with a big gulp of water, have no noticeable aftertaste and are vegetarian. Overall, this supplement comes packaged in a lovely box and a nice red tub with white writing that stands out and is easily read, although I find they are far too expensive for such a small supply.

Fortunately, there is a little-known yet scientifically proven alternative for those who cannot manage traditional iron replacement – a supplement called Lactoferrin. Lactoferrin is a glycoprotein normally found in colostrum, the first and most important part of breast milk. Any baby who has been breast fed has already “supplemented” with and benefited from lactoferrin. It is relevant in the battle against anemia because it appears to improve iron (including non-heme) absorption from food and helps transport this essential mineral to where it is needed. Eventually I resumed taking iron along with the lactoferrin. I can honestly say I will never take any kind of iron without lactoferrin ever again. Not only have my ferritin levels increase, but when I take the lactoferrin it stops any of the illness I get when taking iron alone. For me personally, lactoferrin is helping the iron go where it is needed. No more sickness, just normal iron levels. I wish I had heard of it years ago. First week: More energy. Second week: More energy, less brain fog. Third-Fourth week: more energy, sharper thoughts, no weakness, iron levels become normal.

Lactoferrin 300mg Veggie Capsule with Zinc - 25 Day Supply (50 Capsules) - Vegetarian and Gluten Free. The lactorferrin capsules are very easy to swollow without any issues compared to other vitamins I've had which have been really hard to swollow but these are so easy to swollow, Ive been taken them for a few days now but haven't notice much but I'm sure another week or so i will start to notice I'm sure. These have 300mg veggie which I really like knowing there veggie which is great, Also you get a 25 day supply which means you get 50 capsules all together which will last but id of been happier if there was double for how much they cost, It has Vegetarian and gluten free hints why I got these as these sort of vitamins normally do the job 100%. I would say the price would be better if they wasn't as dear as these are, but I would still recommend as there easy to swollow and I believe they will do the job or already are doing without knowing.

Like a lot of supplements it can be difficult to tell if they’re making a difference to your well-being. I do suffer from arthritis so I thought this would be worth trying to see if it helped. I’m not taking 2 a day as the zinc level is rather high so I’m erring on the side of caution. The capsules are on the large size but not too bad to take with a good gulp of water, there’s no smell or taste to them, thankfully. They’re very expensive, 50 capsules would be a 25 day supply and after finishing this bottle I certainly can’t afford to get any more, they’re out of my price range. I haven’t noticed any reduction in pain as yet but I am taking less than the recommended dose. Hope you found my review helpful

Sweetener?! I've just received them and all seems good. Let's see how it goes although I'm a bit disappointed that, different from other Lactoferrin brand I used to buy, this doesn't specify if contains lactose (Lactoferrin comes from milk but not all the lactoferrin pills contains lactose) and doesn't specify what type of Lactoferrin contains (general lactoferrin is good but only Apolactoferrin works also against viruses) and what type of Zinc contains (bisglycinate is the best one should go for). Also it is a bit annoying having sweetener in capsules, a complete unnecessary ingredient for something that you are not supposed to taste. I understand they want to promote the whole "you can open the capsule and drink it" , but still... At this crazy price these details should be taken care of.

In the days of the 'rona, it' worth having helpful things in your medicine cabinet, and lactoferrin may just be on of those things. Taken day to day it can increase energy levels and help your immune system. But should you come down with a certain virus, increasingly it looks like lactoferrin can reduce viral replication. It's also loaded with zinc which is absolutely necessary in chasing away any illnesses. They're really expensive at £40 for the bottle of 50 capsules - especially considering the directions say to take 2 a day - but we're going to keep them in the medicine cabinet, as a just in case. If you have a 'rona go bag, for those just in cases, lactoferrin in an extremely powerful arrow for your bow.
