“Like a lot of supplements it can be difficult to tell if they’re making a difference to your well-being.
I do suffer from arthritis so I thought this would be worth trying to see if it helped.
I’m not taking 2 a day as the zinc level is rather high so I’m erring on the side of caution.
The capsules are on the large size but not too bad to take with a good gulp of water, there’s no smell or taste to them, thankfully.
They’re very expensive, 50 capsules would be a 25 day supply and after finishing this bottle I certainly can’t afford to get any more, they’re out of my price range.
I haven’t noticed any reduction in pain as yet but I am taking less than the recommended dose.
Hope you found my review helpful”
“Arrived in a really nice outer retail box and actual tablet tub too! Really nicely presented with clear ingredients and directions for use! Attention to detail has definitely been achieved with this retailer / manufacturer! Tablets are easy to take, with plenty in the tub. Seem to be working good and I shall update with progress at the end of the course! So far so good :)”
“I have been in the supplement business for many years. I have looked at, examined and tested many different products over the years.
Lactoferrin has been around for a while. It has come to the fore due to the pandemic. It has been shown that it can kill bacteria and possibly viruses in the body and it helps regulate iron absorption in the gut. On its own, this tablet would be a good one to try. The problem is the manufacturers have been a bit too clever in adding a high dose of Zinc into the formula.
Zinc is great if you have an infection, it helps to restore cells. The problem I have is that many people can have severe reactions to zinc, even with small amounts of zinc. This product gives you 150% of your zinc requirements. At 200% I get a very bad reaction. I get tingling in the skin, arms and head. It feels as if I am getting a stroke. Many times people do not know the cause of symptoms and both doctors and health practitioners put it down to malabsorption of B vitamins, especially B12, when in fact it is too much zinc. If you are taking a multivitamin, which from my point of view is essential, you will probably be getting as much zinc as you need. Adding this product into the mix could overload the system and create the effects I get from about 25mg of Zinc. Simply put zinc will deplete the copper in the body. By depleting the copper, you can create severe reactions.
I have absolutely no issue with the tablet, company nor what Lactoferrin can do, but by putting this amount of zinc into such a product and especially given people can have very bad reactions to too much zinc, I would advise people to be very careful with this product, especially if you take a strong multivitamin or have a diet high in zinc. The only way to counteract the zinc is by taking copper, but this can create a vicious circle.”
