“Great source of Omega-3. These capsules are small and a good easy shape to swallow. I sometimes experience wrist pain and since taking these I have found my wrists feel stronger in the gym. Omega-3 claims to help fight depression and anxiety and I feel like I am less anxious since taking these pills.”
“Capsules fine but what a LOT of wasteful packaging. 2.5 stars from me. Please read my review as 2.5 stars.
The first thing you see is this fabulous thick cardboard packaging and you think 'how interesting, what's in there!' ... and then you open to find some boring old Vegan Omega 3 capsules. In fact I can't think of anything else other than what a complete waste to the environment (growing trees, pulping, factory production of cardboard boxes) just for a months supply of capsules which by the way come in a plastic container.
Quite frankly the packaging (although nice) it's so over the top its ridiculous. No I know why there is a price tag of £14.99 for a one month supply!!
They also have a very unpleasant smell when opening the container (almost an over powering plastic type smell) but are easy to swallow.
So to sum up .... oh, have I mentioned the ridiculous amount of packaging? These are not for me ... too expensive compared to my existing brand (that has more dha/epa in them) AND if you're putting them in plastic container then don't waste precious trees putting them in a cardboard gift box. Nobody wants to pay for a box that goes straight into the recycling bin. All I can say is that I hope you are planting a tree for every box you make.
I hope you found this helpful. Please let me know if you did.”
“Great for hair and skin. I'm sure omega-3 does all kinds of lovely things but the bits I was most interested in were - shiny hair and good skin. I swear I'm not shallow, it's just a while since I've had either.
These soft gel capsules are a little large but easy enough to swallow, they don't taste of anything (that I've noticed) and they're not a bad price for a month's supply. I'm sure you can find cheaper but from the results I've seen, I'd stick with these.
A nice bright bottle as well, which makes it easy to distinguish from other supplements and pills.”
“Great source of Omega-3. 80% more potent than fish oil. Leaves no fishy after taste.
Great source of Omega-3. Each serving (2 capsules per day) contains 1048mg of microalgae oil (300mg DHA & 105mg EPA), and this is supposedly 80% more potent than the equivalent amount of fish oil. It’s difficult to assess the effectiveness of supplements (particularly those intended for the purpose of helping to maintain normal bodily function), especially with only 30 days of use, but Omega-3 is essential for normal cellular metabolism and these capsules are an abundant source.
Unlike many Omega-3 supplements sourced from fish, these softgels don't have any odour and leave no fishy aftertaste. These are also vegan-friendly since the source of the oil is microalgae.
One downside is that these are a little on the expensive side (£14.99 at the time of writing this review) for only a 30 day supply. There are other decent alternatives, such as Antarctic krill oil capsules that are cheaper and still more potent than standard fish oil. However, many of the cheaper alternatives out there are of a much lesser quality and concentration.”
“Great plant based tablets. Good vegan alternative to fish oil tablets for getting high levels of omega 3. When I've previously researched the topic, it appears that the concentration and quality of omega 3 you get from these algae sources is just as good if not better than from fish oil.
Capsules were easy to swallow and much less of a fishy aftertaste than fish based omega 3 supplements. The price seems expensive but I think it's reasonable given the price of comparable vegan omega 3 tablets.”
“No fish oil included. So, am I the one that has noticed on the sellers page that they mention fish oil on the same page as vegan? Which if your vegan is going to actually put you off as vegans do not eat anything derived from animals or birds. Which is a shame as the tub has no mention or fish oil on it and the protein is actually Micro algae oil. Nice to have something which doesn't repeat on you and even though not vegan myself, I cannot stand that rather fishy smell as I do not even eat fish. These thankfully do not have such an aroma and to me smell a bit like the flakes you feed goldfish. A nice small gel tablet to Sswallow too so no feeling of gagging that you can get when swallowing something larger. I will be buying more of these”
