What is the Best Material for a Marine Corps Flag?
Nylon Marine Corps Flags
Nylon is an excellent choice for all-weather flying and is the go-to general-purpose flag material thanks to its durability and weather resistance. This lightweight fabric ensures that your flag will fly regally, even in gentle breezes, and dry quickly after becoming wet. Our nylon US Marine Corps flag is available in sizes 12” x 18”, 2’ x 3’, 3’ x 5’, 4’ x 6’, 5’ x 8’, and 6’ x 10’.
Polyester Marine Corps Flags
If you live on the coast or in a region with strong winds, we recommend using a polyester flag instead. Polyester is more heavy-duty than nylon and is too heavy for use on house-mounted flagpoles. We offer the polyester Marines flag in the size 3’ x 5’.
Marine Corps Flags Meaning & History
The Marine Corps is the Department of Defense's smallest military branch, but it's also known to be its fiercest. High-intensity training produces some of the world's most versatile and deadly fighters. The Marine Corps has a reputation of being the toughest military branch to serve in, so if you're one of them... we salute you!
The flag of the United States Marine Corps was officially adopted in 1939, even though the colors and emblem have appeared on uniforms since 1869. The symbol in the center of the Marine Corps flag consists of a globe, an anchor, and a large golden eagle. The globe symbolizes the Marine Corps' global influence, and the anchor pays tribute to its naval heritage. The eagle perched at the top of the globe with its wings spread wide symbolizes the United States of America.

Always good to see the Flag of the Corps flying and even better when it flies just below our Stars & Stripes, here on the airport.
