“Exactly as described, delivered promptly and in good condition. Though it is not described as new, and that some work may be required, the coat does present the regular wearer with minor maintenence requirements to keep in good condition, as may be expected of surplus. Having had the coat a year, I will summarise thus; Buttons, even without stress, will slowly wear themselves off. re-stitching is very easy, but relocation can be difficult. This is fully acceptable and understandable. Replacements are cheap but it's easy to monitor when the buttons are coming loose. The inner lining may be fitted tight or rip at the armpit. This is a harder fix and requires some adjustment of the sleeve, but nothing too complex to do by a good tailor. While in the process, it may be recommended to have the bottom hem'ed, just to avoid fraying. This is not entirely necessary, but does prolongue the lifespan of the coat in regular use. All of these would be expected of any milsurp or even other great coats, new or second-hand, and are not a mark against FUKit. Customer service was excellent, and the general quality on arrival was excellent, with some care given to ensuring that the coat was intact at point of arrival.”
