“I bought two boxes of 100 Model 1300 stud for attachment to my winter road tires on my BMW R 1300 GS Adventure bike. The studs are defintely high quality! Turns out 1 pack of 100 was sufficent for my shop to do a light studding on both the front and back wheels.
Bike felt a little slippery/greasy on the first couple of rides on plain tarmac/pavement. WIth every subsequent ride on tarmac there has been improvment in handling as the studs become more fully seated inside the tire. As the sharpness continues to wear, I expect further improvement in the bike's handling while at the same time maintaining an advantage on any ice and snow pockets that I may encounter on the road. I'm a year round rider. This purchase was for my winter tires only, and come April 2026, I will be putting my summer tires back on. No studs.”
