“After messing around for years with screws that are designed for motorcycles and the likes, to be ridden on ice, I wish I had known about Grip Studs from the beginning. Those screws, which appeared to be like other wading studs, would come up missing after each outing. I’ve now had Grip Studs in my wading boots for a couple of months with dozens of days on various rivers. There is no sign of any of the studs being in danger of falling out, and they all seem to be keeping their shape. “These studs are absolutely amazing! Don't waste your time or money on another brand! Recently purchased a big brand name Pro wading boot with rubber lug sole and carbide studs of the same brand. Being a lifelong felt sole/carbide stud guy I was somewhat leery of rubber soles, but was convinced by the salesman they would be great with the studs he sold me. Upon my first fishing outing to my local "slimy/rocky" river, my heart sank in my chest as I could barely stand in the current, even with a wading staff! I could not believe that I just spent 340 bucks for new boots/studs that I felt were totally inadequate for my fishing conditions. In all fairness the boots are super high quality and quite comfy but seriously terrible traction wise except on dry ground. Before heading to my shop to take out the junk studs and grind the outsole flat for an aftermarket sole with felt stud install, I decided to check the web believing I couldnt be the only guy in this dilema. Grip Studs popped up and after navigating the site and making a quick phone call, Brian at Grip Studs listened to my issues and provided the assistance I need to order their 3000A studs with install tool. I received the new studs and tool within a couple days along with the Aquaseal sr that was recommended for a re-install. After installing the new Grip Studs I headed out to my local river once again for the "acid test". Upon entering the river/current I was blown away by the remarkable traction the Grip Studs had, rivalling my old felt sole/carbide stud set up. The new boots with rubber soles definitely have the advantage for walking on ground to get to the river and the new Grip Studs provide traction so good that I hardly rely on my wading staff although I do keep it handy for rough water. Grip Studs thank you for the best studs available, but beyond that for providing assistance, and prompt shipping and amazing customer service!!!!!!”
