“I've been sharpening my knives cause somehow I believe it was inherited from my dads side of the family. When my grandfather passed I was given a cigar box full of the little pocket knives they toted back in the 1930's. The blades were all mostly sharpened away. He carved a lot being a ticket collector on a train. The only education I got for sharpening knives was what my dad showed me with some old bowed out wet/oil stone. As I evolved my knife sharpening it was with various guided sharpening systems. Eventually I got to TSPROF and now these days with the cadet . Aroma was what I thought was the absolute best....But now I've used the Venev stones on my cadet and have made the sharpest edge yet. Repeat I've made plenty of sharp edges....but with these Venev's I have stepped up to another level. Wish my grandad was around to see what can be accomplished these days.... Expensive but ya got to pay to play....”

“These are effective stones. My only concern is the short sides are simply squared-off, rather than having an angled end to easily stay in the TSPROF holder. This would be an improvement, but perhaps not compatible with other systems using 6" x 1" stones.”

“Use this to put bevels on 9 blades so far and one dagger. Can't see anywhere to the stones should last quite a while.”
