“Great sharpening system. Has a solid base that is super stable, and the guide is really smooth with no grabbing like the cheaper precision adjust I'd been using. The rod is heavy enough that it doesn't appear to flex while sharpening. Right out of the gate was able to get much improved results with this system. The only knock I have is the magnet base. I toiled about whether to get the rotating clamp but didn't really see any complaints about the magnet, and because the rotating clamps don't have a quick- release system, I opted to try the magnet. It's okay, but I do have to hold the knife with my free hand to keep it securely against the stop while sharpening (even with the optional blade support). The magnets just not strong enought to keep the knife secure on its own. This is no big deal when the knife handle is on the left side, but I hate it when the handle is on my right (because i'm much more comfortable sharpening with my right hand). I think a clamp is in my future.”

“Good value for money,holds the stones securely,holds blades with full flat grinds more securely than half flat grinds ,the knife can rock ,only a problem for me because I only have one good hand but otherwise quite capable .”
