“The 2500-grit SiC stone cuts hard, exotic steel well. I recently used it on a Japanese-made Spyderco Delica that's made with very wear-resistant, vanadium carbide-rich K390 steel. Of course, the SiC stone didn't cut the K390 as fast as diamond plates would, but it cut the highly wear-resistant K390 steel reasonably well and produced a uniform scratch pattern.”
