“Let me start by saying I'm a huge hot sauce fan and have ordered a ton of different sauces from Heatonist. This is the worst tasting sauce I've tried. It must be the type of mushroom used, because I like every ingredient in this sauce, and I even love mushrooms! I let a few friends try it too and we couldn't stand it. Tasted like puke. And yes I shook it up very well before use like I do with any hot sauce.”

Ah darn! Sorry to hear that Arthur - those mushrooms are pretty unique so they're definitely not for everyone! They add an umami flavor that some people use as a substitute for anchovies, so it can be divisive. Not sure if you had a chance to refrigerate the sauce yet, but that can help tone down that flavor and I'd also recommend trying it on pizza if you haven't yet. :)

“So the sauce isn’t necessarily “spicy,” but I would say it is the best-tasting of all the Heatonist lineup. It goes well with ANYTHING; I’ve tried it with pasta, pizza, tacos, even breakfast! (In fact, my favorite combination is with avocado toast as breakfast) Amazing product you have here. Extremely recommended.”

“Lovely, fairly mild and creamy sauce suitable for eggs, potatoes, chicken. I even use it with a roasted red pepper dressing on salads. Wish it came in glass: it is in a squeezable plastic bottle which means I probably won't get it again. But delicious!”

“Love it! A little runny but I don’t care. It tastes amazing! My favorite hot sauce vehicle is chicken nuggets and with this sauce I found myself eating way too many nuggets just to eat more of this sauce. This is not a sweet sauce. Very savory.”

“I received this as part of the Hot Sauce Health Pack, and was not disappointed. It was delicious on wings, and packed quite a punch. I doused some wings in it, and really enjoyed the flavor. It's hot, but not too hot, and there are some really nice complex flavors in there. I'll definitely be trying more Heartbeat sauces after this outstanding experience.”

“Not all that spicy, but amazing flavor. I don' tknow if it's the mushroom or something else. It's kind of creamy. I ordered about a dozen different sauces and this one was my favorite, so I'm coming back to order a couple bottles this time. Heat is 3-4. Flavor is great. I put this on everything, including salads and brownies. If it's available, you should buy it.”

“Now this one is a top favorite of mine , just right amount of heat , can’t beat the flavor , very unique , this sauce goes really good on certain foods , I like to use it on sandwiches , red beans and rice , haven’t found the perfect food yet , but I already had to reorder this one in just about a month , definitely recommend trying this one”
