“This stuff is great, like a somewhat hotter and more flavorful version of Tabasco/Crystal/Louisiana sauce. Where most of those other brands are really forward with the vinegar, Poirier's brings the flavor and heat of the peppers to the front and makes the brightness of the vinegar take a back seat to the cayenne. That means it works amazingly well for Cajun food; this stuff is insanely good in gumbo and jambalaya and po'boys and red beans and rice. If it has a drawback, it's that the cayenne flavor is so intense that it's really dominant and will make anything you put it on taste like Cajun food. That's great if it's what you're going for. But it means it doesn't work as well as a general purpose sauce that you can put on anything.”

“Everything you want in a Louisiana hot sauce plus a bunch of stuff you didn’t know you were missing. Unbeatable flavor, we put this on everything, it excels on eggs, sandwiches and anything fried. The only complaint I would have is that for the versatility of this sauce the bottle is WAY to small, release a 16oz bottle! We’re going to do a batch of traditional Buffalo wings with these for game day using our new deep fryer, looking forward to ruining my family for wings moving forward. Selection from Heatonist is amazing, add this into the mix the next time you’re getting your fave sauce.”
