“This was the first sauce I tried from Heatonist. So, it really "set the stage" for what I was expecting to come afterward. At time of writing, I'm still a relative newcomer to the world of hot sauces. All I knew was the stuff from the store. I will say that, overall, I like The Classic. It's got a good flavor that you come to expect from a pepper sauce. However, I found the bitter vinegar bite at the start just a bit too much for me (kinda like a Louisiana sauce). And I was very surprised to find that the heat was a little less than something like Frank's original. Not that I was expecting my face to be on fire, but it was less heat than I'd prepped myself for. That might be a bonus for you. I will say that this can go on just about anything. Chicken, eggs, pork. Hell, throw it on a salad. It's good there.”

“Recieved this sauce by accident when I had ordered another. Heatonist customer service got right on it and took care of the issue immediately, and told me to keep this sauce as a gift. Anyways, great sauce. Mild heat and good flavor.”

“It's not bad at all. But there's just something missing. I don't know if it's just my bottle but there's nothing that stands out about this hot sauce. Frank's and Cholula have more heat than this.”

“Reminded me of tobasco, not a bad sauce but not amazing. Will make for a good table sauce when friends come over or to breath some life into a boring rice dish but there are far more exciting and interesting sauces available here.”

“Just tried this sauce - SO good! Nice bite, like a milder/medium classic buffalo sauce, but with a fruity undertone that's really a fantastic complement. I will buy this again, because I know I'll be using this bottle up!”

“Don't be fooled. This may be sauce #1, and thus you all want the more adventurous sauces. I have around 50 different bottles. The Classic is one of the most flavorful sauces you can buy on Heatonist and is not the same as a "classic". It has earned a spot in my permanent rotation. Delicious.”
