Dad's a Heatonist subscriber, but I also like to try the hot sauces he gets in his subscription packages. Our hot sauce package just arrived and with it, The Last Dab: Apollo. I was honestly felt like the Apollo pepper might be overhyped. I was also concerned at how pepper-forward the sauce ingredients were, making me wonder if flavor was being sacrificed for heat. However, I'm glad to say that neither of these points is true: The Apollo Pepper is intensely hot (so hot that it made my Lava Monster of a dad wide-eyed after a mere tasting of it), but it quickly introduces and follows that heat with an earthy, rich flavor that covers the tongue. This sauce would go excellently with curries, bean chili, S. and C. American dishes as well as red meat. A little definitely goes a long way with this sauce, as it's packed with more heat than you'd ever want to encounter. But luckily, a little also goes a long way in terms of flavor. Delicious, and bitey, sauce.

So I finally got the sauce in today, my co-worker and I were excited. We took 1/2 teaspoon full. We are both veterans of hot sauces and reapers the bomb. Our initial reaction - smells like a Habenero, taste like there was mangos in it and citrus, lightly sweet. The ingredient is simply just the pepper and vinegar but it felt like it had other ingredients in it. AMAZING TASTE for those beautiful seconds until it explodes into multiple THE BOMB in your mouth. The Bomb = Chemical Burn Last Dab, XXX, Brain Burner= FIRE burning sensation Constrictor = Putting a hot coal in your mouth Apollo = LIQUID ACID. Once the delayed heat kicks in - it felt like The Bomb - but worse. not a chemical burn but sheer acid melting the tongue, the roof of your mouth. it's absurb how painful that was. Fortunately it lasted for 7-10 mins before fading away for good. No linger. Not gonna lie - scared to use this sauce for anything now - that BURN is on awhole different level.

Upon first bite you’ll think, “oh that’s not too bad”. Then the burn starts to build. The burn is legit and lingers for quite a bit. The flavor is robust with an almost sweetness and earthy meld. It burns like hell but it’s a fun and flavorful ride!

Five stars because it is the most impressive sauce I have ever had. Not sure how I feel about it having an extract component, but I'll turn a blind eye cause I wouldn't have known if I hadn't looked at the bottle. That said; it is basically reaper squeezins only hotter, faster. Like reaper squeezins it is in dire need of salt. A small gripe for an epic creation.

Corny title, I know, but I'm new to this, lmao. I just wanted to support my favorite hot sauce creators with an authentic review. If you're like me, you're a real heat junkie and Buffalo Wild Wings Blazin' sauce is a rather mild placeholder in your life because it's the easiest to access hot sauce on the general market. I mean, unless you hit up Zaxby's and get their insane sauce which only feels more and more watered down. ANYWAYS. I'm admittedly a broke college student who technically can't justify spending $20+ on a bottle of hot sauce. That being said... THIS IS SO WORTH IT!!! I got it in the most recent subscription box, my first time signing up for that after my girlfriend got me the former trio pack of Los Calientes, the previous Last Dab, and the third sauce that I thoroughly enjoyed but can't remember the name of. I LOVED THEM!!! Like, I've been a long time fan of the show over on youtube, I'm always desperate for heat and I've been a long time fan of Blair's Mega Death chips and a few other products feature on the show but WOW! But enough about those. This sauce. This sauce okay. First off, the vinegar note is more prominent in this one. I mean, yeah, you can taste it in the old one but this one is vaguely reminiscent of something like Texas Pete or you know, those more watery generic grocery store brands. Personally, I think that makes it easier to toss my wings in with a few slivers of garlic butter and ranch. I'm a big wings girl, okay. Is it really surprising? I like that this one has a bit more of a fruity flavor. You know, like habanero peppers. You honestly only need a few drops of it. I'm a bit of a glutton so I doubt that this bottle will last me longer than the next two weeks. I feel like it pairs well with everything. I put it in my ramen(with shirataki noodles because a puta is on keto), my taco salad(which is my dinner tonight, layers of lettuce, cheese, meat, and chunky salsa), and of course ON MY WINGS! Gosh, it's so good. Like, okay, with the LAST last dab the heat would creep up on you and build. With this one, the heat is instant and builds. I'm licking my lips. And the best part is that it doesn't linger too long on your tongue. I plan on putting it in my cheesy garlic eggs tomorrow!

Last Dab, Last Dab Reduxx, and Last Dab XXX has mustard, ginger, tumeric, coriander, and cumin in it. Which is very flavorful but if you are a pepper head The Apollo sauce is for you! This sauce is just Fresh Apollo Pepper, Apollo Pepper Powder, Apollo Pepper Extract, and Vinegar. If you want to know what the Apollo Pepper tastes like this is the sauce for you. I understand why it's called Apollo because it has almost a bright fruit flavor right at the beginning that then pricks you with a sharp burns real quick. Apollo being the God of the Sun representing the bright flavor and the arrow from his bow representing the sharp burn. The heat builds up to a crescendo of heat that lingers!!
