“I was honestly disappointed with the spice level of this hot sauce. I was expecting it to be at least more spicier than hot ones’ collab w/ 88 rising but I didn’t think it was”

“A very thick sauce that sneaks up on you. If you don't wait for the burn to kick in, and continue to pour it on, you're gonna get a nasty surprise. The immediate heat is honestly unimpressive...but that's dangerously deceiving. You may be tricked into adding more to get a better burn. Roughly 30 seconds after you put it in your mouth, you'll start to feel it creep up. It slowly escalates towards a very pleasant full mouth burn that I would put around an 8/10. It never reaches a point where I don't feel like I could eat more because of the pain, and that's not a bad thing. It hits that sweet spot of exciting burn, great taste, and "continued edibility". Definitely not an 11/10 hot sauce, but don't let that dissuade you. If you're a pepper head, you need to try this one.”

“The Last Dab Apollo is interesting. I found mine to be less spicy than the Last Dab XXX however it still had a high spice level. I would rate Da'Bomb beyond insanity being much spicier. I love the amazing taste of this sauce and the consistency is slightly above pure liquid but way below the thicker consistency of XXX sauce making it easy to get the sauce out of the bottle and onto the food. I love this sauce.”

“Apollo is a great pepper forward sauce. It's all about the Apollo pepper. No fancy ingredients it's about the Apollo pepper and that fine with me. It has the perfect pepper smokiness and then a great full mouth burn that puts a kick in your butt and has you coming back for more. It's a perfect last dab sauce. Well done.”

“So this may sound more like a XXX review, but bear with me! The Last Dab xXx was the first sauce I ordered from The Heatonist. Once I got passed the shock factor, I found out that I sincerely enjoyed the flavor! It went wonderfully on sandwiches and eggs. As for The Last Dab APOLLO, however, I think I'm not really finding what I found with XXX. It didn't give me that shock factor I expected and the flavor leaves something to be desired. For what it does to my body? I just feel like it's solely a conversation piece and not something you fully enjoy like XXX. As APOLLO was debuted in what is supposed to be the most flavorful lineup yet, I was disappointed.”

“The Last Dab Apollo is an experience. Starts with that bit of sweetness familiar with Carolina Reaper peppers, but quickly gives way to the earthier notes of Pepper X. The heat builds rapidly but plateaus just as quickly and just cruises there for quite a while. For a super hot sauce, it’s a damn good option. XXX was more painful and less flavorful by comparison, whereas I can see myself reaching for this more often. Worth checking out for sure. A little horrified to see what will follow this as the next Last Dab, though.”
