“Too much oil! Twice now I've let it settle and pour out the oil on top. Maybe in cooking a dish, it might not be so noticeable. I bought this thinking it would be great on eggs/sandwich. Just ok.”

Hey Adam, Thanks so much for writing in about this. The cool thing about small batch hot sauce is that each batch from small makers can vary! Sometimes the oil is added before another step and kind of tweaks everything but please note that each batch is tested to maintain PH balance and of course follows all food safety precautions. The sauce is not bad, just different!! For example, people who are tasting the sauce for the first time think it's perfectly delicious! I have a feeling it is because you had a different batch that was a little more emulsified previously and have something to compare it to. Give it a really good shake so everything mixes together and try it on food and let me know how it goes! Thank you again for taking the time to help us understand what is going on! “This Is my girlfriend's favorite sauce. Im a hot head and she's not. This sauce is a well balanced combo of pepper and something that is very translucent but taste like garlic. It's not too hot. It has tons flavor.”

“I'm torn here. I bought this sauce when it first came out and I really enjoyed it, it's a good spice level and a fun, interesting taste. However, when I bought my second bottle, the sauce was broken - no matter how much you shake it, it doesn't reincorporate, and whenever you try to pour it you get a slug of canola oil before any of the actual 'sauce' comes out. The weather was hot when it shipped, so it's possible the heat damaged the sauce, but I'd say be cautious when you buy this. You might end up with something really good, or you might end up with something barely edible.”

“Allergy Warning: Sesame oil. This doesn't really mix well, oil and wine. If I could do sesame oil, I might like this more. I won't "yuck" someone's "yum".”
