I purchased this bottle along with Los Calientes to kick off my collection of Hot Ones sauces and couldn't be happier with where I started! Coming from cayenne pepper powder, I was surprised with the different sensation of heat from this sauce. It isn't too much, but it does get right to the point. Eating wings coated in this sauce, the heat kicked in immediately with a heavy taste of chili pepper which dominated the overall flavor. It isn't as complex-tasting as Los Calientes but gets the job done and adds an extra dimension of flavor to my favorite foods!

This sauce is listed in the Medium section, but I found it rather mild by comparison. For example, I thought the Shaquanda sauce was hotter. Maybe that's just me. This is a sauce that I never would've expected to like (I got it in my subscription box), as I'm not generally a sweet/savory mixer. So a chili/pineapple sauce wouldn't have originally been on my radar. But, thankfully, I am willing to try new things, as this one was a surprise hit. Much like Shaquanda's, which I thought would've been good on grilled fruit, Lucky Dog is just moreso. Put this on some grilled pineapple or mango, or toss a couple dashes just into a fruit salad and I think you'd be happy with the results.

This would be really good without ginger. It doesn't go well with variety of food.

Versatile because it hits the whole palate. I think the fact that it’s pretty sweet doesn’t make it a sauce for everything, but very good for grilled foods. Great with fish tacos. Not to hot at all. You can definitely use it in mass quantities and there are fiery bits strewn around in the sauce that jab you, which is nice. 6.5/10 on heat. This passes the dinosaur shaped chicken nugget test! The true question for me in my house is: Does it taste good on dinosaur buddies? Just so I can make some for the kids and have something to look forward to. Nothing like roasting your face off while providing a snack for the hungry groms. I found this sauce useful in scavenging scraps of cold left overs bite by bite from the fridge. It’s fiery but it doesn’t shock you. Really nice flavor of fruit up front and then complexity follows. Great with some steak and your favorite ale. Maybe some cab. -Hilly

The pineapple, onion, and garlic really pop with this sauce. I really love the flavor. It gave beef and broccoli a kick in the rice.

I've ordered quite a few bottles in the last few years from Lucky Dog and i've yet to come across a hot sauce from them I didn't love. This one is great with stir fry!

I love sweet chili sauces and this is by far a new favorite of mine, my lady and I destroyed the karma sauce but to be honest that was mostly my girlfriend lol. Karma sauce is just a hair spicier than I generally want but I'm a sucker for sweet chili sauces so I'd always use too much and regret it. This stuff though is freakin amazing and a light enough spice there is no regretting it.
