“Spicy, tingly, but not anywhere near the 9/10 this is rated as. I would easily put this below Aka Miso in terms of heat level Flavor? Definitely interesting. Tastes good mixed with a creamier sauce to mellow it out. Not the worst, but not the best”

“To simply say I dislike this sauce would be an understatement. Is it hot? Yup. Does it taste good? Absolutely not. I've tried this sauce in many dishes, including Indian curries and it didn't go well with anything. I've let other people try it and I can't even get anyone to take the bottle off my hands, as everyone seems to have the same impression of it. Highly disappointed.”

“Definitely hot, but I wouldn't give 9/10, maybe 7/10. Mainly, the bottle I had gave a bit of a chemical taste, almost like a band-aid. Hot, but not tasty. Giving a 3 out of 5 because maybe I got a bad batch? Or maybe just not my brand.”

“I was surprised by the negativity of some of the reviews - I have been obsessed with this sauce since I tasted it at the Heatonist tasting room and bought a bottle. I think it is because the sauce has such a strong, almost bitter flavor that hits you before the heat kicks in, but that unique taste is exactly why I like it so much. Because of the strong flavor, you need to be careful what you pair the sauce with, else it will overpower the flavor of the food, but with the right dish (Indian curries, chilli), this is one of my favorite sauces.”

“I was gifted this sauce and I love it. I recently checked out the listing on Heatonist to learn more about the sauce and was very surprised to see the negative response to the flavor. The taste is very unique, for sure but I personally love the flavor and will definitely be buying some more. Very tasty sauce with a nice heat.”

“When I first tried it the heat was there, but as I kept eating I noticed the tasted was very bitter and honestly not pleasant. I'm not sure anyone would find this sauce "tasty" as it seems like they just tried to make it as hot as possible with no regard for flavor.”

“I'm not sure this is a 9 of 10 heat rating. This was only kinda hot for a few minutes and only made my eyes watery. The heat doesn't last long and no milk required. The last dab is suppose to be 10 of 10 and rightfully so because it's the only sauce to-date to make my head and butt checks sweat. LoL. This one seems more like a 6 or 7 of 10. That's not to say it's bad. I used it in my homemade taco mix and it was tolerable.”
