“It definitely hits you more with sweet and heat from Scorpion Disco. The tamari and vinegar from Cosmic Dumplings are almost muted. I would consider it a sweet and very hot tomato sauce.”

“Of the five hot sauces I've purchased here, this one is my least favorite. That's just my taste perhaps. It has a strong tomato flavor. Ideal for crock pot cooking or pasta in my opinion. Not disappointed, just figuring out what I like and don't. Worth a try if you like tomato flavor.”

“I grow the hottest chiles, various varieties. 58 plants. My daughter and I have been making our own sauces for a few years, haven't settled on set recipes yet, getting closer. It's always fun to compare. This one has heat and nuanced flavor, but for me, something just slightly overpowering the pepper flavor, maybe a blush too much tamari. Or, I don't know how this is made, maybe slightly overcooked, or a hint of bitterness from fermentation of the peppers. But this is nitpicking, and please forgive me if I am way off base. You obviously know way more than I ever will about making sauce. Overall, I really like it and it is something for me to learn from.”

“Its got a nice sweet heat, very bright and not to heavy. I don’t care for the consistency sometimes however as it can be a little runnier and you can’t dab it, the sauce tends to run all over the food and tends to overwhelm. I prefer it mixed with a soup or a sauce as the flavor is a okay, but feels more like an attempt at heat over flavor.”

“I bought this after Alton Brown's "Hot Ones" interview where he ranked it among the top. And it is, it's got a great smokey, BBQ taste that jumps out right away. I think the spice though lasts a little too long on the tongue and throat, compared to others where the taste and heat all come at once but mostly go away for the next bite. On the Hot Ones scale it's hotter than the "last dab" but lower than "da bomb" so maybe 8 or 9/10.”
