Highly disappointed in this set from Top Chef. Not a good taste at all.

I’m so sorry this pack wasn’t your cup of tea. Sometimes it’s about finding the right foods to pair with the sauce. Just like fine wine, a good pairing will make the sauce shine! Or if you'd like a suggestion for something more to your taste, send an email to ilovehotsauce@heatonist.com

I reall enjoyed all three of these sauces. Some observations: Herbs and Garlic are both super thick. Herbs has a strong cilantro flavor, and Garlic is like a pleasantly spicy garlic puree. Peppercorn has a more traditional hot sauce consistency and very unique flavor. You definitely get the roasted bell and Szechuan peppercorn flavors, but there's also a pleasant, bright note of citrus that pops through.

All three of these sauces are delightful, but the only one that I would consider a "hot sauce" is the Peppercorn one, which is my new favorite! Peppercorn: Great on wings and tacos, but I think it will also be fantastic drizzled on pizza, stir fries, tofu nuggets, curries, etc. as well. The possibilities with this flavor profile seem endless. It has a perfect consistency, and a balanced flavor of peppercorns, floral notes, and fruity but not sweet. Garlic: Very thick and fresh-garlic forward. This will do nicely on burgers, steak, or on a charcuterie board. I intend to make an aioli out of it as well for dipping fries. Herbs: Very thick and a little chunky. Punchy herb flavor that will make a bright, refreshing topping on fresh fish, in a salad dressing, or used in a marinade. Heatonist + Top Chef = Winning Combo!

This trio has great flavor and just enough heat to not overpower the flavor. I think they'll be great additions to lots of recipes.
