“Academy have some choice kits, and this is one of them. This is their 50th anniversary release and besides having good plastic bits includes photo-etched metal parts. You will need to be careful to check the separate PE instruction sheet. Be sure to follow the detour notes in the main instructions. The PE parts include the dive brake flaps which were painted red on the inside surfaces. This will add a dramatic touch to the kit. The only downer is that wing brackets are provided for bombs and rockets, but that ordnance is not supplied. Hopefully you'll have goodies in the spares box. Colour schemes are two overall sea blue and one three colour. Some aircrew loved the Helldiver, others hated it, but it served well even after the war.”
