“Have grown this heavy-yielding maincrop variety for a number of years now and find it excellent. It is highly resistant to late blight and the tubers are normally of a good size, clean-skinned and have an attractive pink-eyed appearance. Although completely unrelated, it looks similar to King Edward and roasts just as well. It suits most cooking methods except boiling. When boiling, it cooks very quickly and is prone to breaking up but this is an advantage when carefully par-boiling prior to roasting.”
