Jamieson Brothers® Chilli Jalapeno Vegetable Seeds CHILLI JALAPEÑO Capsicum annuum 'Jalapeño A very hot popular chilli which is very easy to grow. A compact, decorative plant which will look great anywhere. The chillies are excellent fresh, frozen or dried. Perfect to stuff and bake. Half Hardy Annual CHARACTERISTICS: Height: 120cm-130cm Exposure: Full sun Harvest: July onwards Garden Uses: Suitable for glasshouse or outdoor production. Attracts: Bees, butterflies and other pollinators Scoville Heat Units: 2,500-5,000 SHU. GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Starting Indoors - January-March Sow seeds 5mm deep in pots or trays of moist compost, store in a warm place at an approx. temperature of 18-20°c, do not exclude light as this helps the seeds germinate. Ensure that the compost is moist at all times. Once all chance of frost has passed the plants can be transplanted into growing beds or patio tubs outside, harden off first. It would also be useful to cover with cloches for extra protection. Chillies do best in very mild conditions, therefore it would be better to keep them in a greenhouse or indoors. Pick fruits to encourge more to grow. Feed regularly with a tomato liquid fertiliser.

Slow germination but strong growth. Took just over 3 weeks before they germinated (indoors). I didn't sow many as only growing them in one pot, but now growing strong and looking good!
